Lifeguard Certification Training
Lifeguard training classes teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Successful completion of the classes provide the certifications needed for lifeguards in California. In-person and blended options are available.
Lifeguard/Swim Instructor Aide
Hiring Assessment
Age: 15+
Join the Team! Come to our Hiring Assessment. Those who pass will receive FREE entry to one of our Lifeguard Training classes. Assessments will include a 300-yard swim test, 1 minute brick tread or 2-minute tread- no legs, lifeguard timed event, stroke assessment, group interview, and leadership games and activities. You only need to attend one date!

Lifeguard Training
Age: You must be 15 years old by the final day of the course.
The Lifeguard Training course includes all the certifications needed to be a pool lifeguard in the State of California. After successful completion of this course, participants are issued American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration, Bloodborne Pathogens Training and First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22).
Prerequisites: 300-yard swim, 2-minute tread-legs only, Timed event-swim 20 yards, retrieve 10lb brick from 7-10ft, return to starting point under 1:40.
Fee: $250 (fee waived if you attend and pass the lifeguard hiring assessment)

Fees
Drop-In admission fees apply to Recreation Swim, Family Swim, Water Fitness and Lap Swim. Season passes available for Recreation Swim and Family Swim only.

Recreation Swim
The pool is open during the summer for recreational swimming. The facility is equipped with diving boards, picnic areas, splash pad, showers, and changing rooms. Lap lanes are available during lap swim times only. Children under the age of 10 are not permitted without an adult.

Family Swim (FREE)
Come and bring the family out for an evening of fun at the pool during Family Swim! Children under the age of 10 are not permitted without an adult.

Lap Swim / Open Exercise
NEW TIME - Participants may swim laps, water walk, or exercise at their own pace. Kickboards, pull buoys and noodles are available upon request.
