Pay with Credit Card

You can pay by phone or online with your credit or debit card without fees.  To pay online you can go to this link: Merchant Transact

You must mail your payment coupon along with your check payment to the address above by the due date. Postmarks are not accepted as proof of on-time payment.

Drop Box

 

There are 3 drop boxes for utility payments. Please do not put cash in any of the drop boxes. The customer will have same day credit if the payment is received before 5:00 PM.


The drop box locations are:

  • inside City Hall 1st floor, located to the left near the Finance Department.
  • outside in front of City Hall, located to the right side of our bulletin board
  • outside City Hall, across the street (behind the Art League of Lincoln building)

Pay at City Hall

Utility Billing division can accept payments at the City Hall.  Front counters are located on the 1st floor - Utility Billing. Form of payment can be in:

  • cash
  • check
  • credit card

Automatic Bank Draft

 Lincoln offers an Automatic Bank Draft (ABD) transaction through the customer's checking or savings account.

 Apply for ABD

On the due date, ABD will withdraw funds from the customer's bank account.  Transaction will be the first of each month (or next business day if the first falls on a holiday or weekend).  The total amount due will be electronically debited.  To start the automatic withdrawals, your Utility account balance must be zero.  You can print out and submit the Automatic Bank Draft Form and voided check in person/by mail or submit electronically:

  •  Please allow up to thirty (30) days to process your application once received.
  • Note: Do not mail the ABD form and voided check with your utility billing payment. Our processing center only handles payments.

 Stop / Cancel ABD

The customer may stop his/her participation in the ABD program. You must submit a written request to the Utility Billing department. You can print out the  Automatic Bank Draft Cancellation form and submit in person/by mail or submit electronically

Automatic Bank Draft Cancellation

  •   Please allow up to (30) days to process your cancellation form once received.

Closed on City Holidays.
