Notice of Upcoming Project: K, O, P, 5th Streets Water Rehabilitation Project

Project Overview

This project will replace old and deteriorated water pipes, service lines, and fire hydrants within select locations. 

Upcoming Work

In the coming days and weeks, there will be field crews working in the project area, such as land surveyors and a utility locating company, gathering important details for the design of these improvements. Future work will include crews returning to these areas to collect additional information on the existing utilities by performing potholes. During this process, there will be some minor traffic control systems in place that may cause small delays, but access to properties will be maintained at all times.

Project Limits

The project will make improvements to water mains at the following segments:

• along K Street from 1st Street to 5th Street
• O Street from 3rd Street to 5th Street
• P Street from 4th Street to the northernmost driveway of the Lincoln Meadows Care Center
• 5th Street from J Street to O Street

Project Schedule

The project is currently in the design phase. Construction is anticipated to commence in Spring 2027.

The construction documents are being prepared by the City's design consultant, R.E.Y. Engineers, Inc.
