The Support Services Department consists of Finance, Utility Billing, Information Technology, and Central Services (Purchasing, Risk Management). In essence, Support Services provides key internal services across the organization to all departments, employees, and to our external customers. This integration of key administrative functions is designed to reduce overhead costs, increase efficiency in local governmental operations, and provide effective customer service.
The Support Services Department also provides a General Information Counter, which handles general information questions through the City’s main telephone number. Other items that are handled at this counter include: purchase of bus passes, copies of City documents, hydrant meter rentals, and city-wide mail distribution.
