 What Goes in the Green Waste Bin?
  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Prunings (less than 2 feet long and less than 2 inches in diameter)
  • Christmas Trees (unflocked, with pieces cut down to less than 2 feet long and less than 2 inches in diameter)

 

 What Does NOT Go in the Green Waste Bin?
  • Trash
  • Food Waste
  • Palm Fronds (you can put these in your trash)
  • Animal Waste
  • Lumber
  • Cardboard
  • Dirt
  • Sod
  • Rocks
  • Treated or Painted Wood (Wood Chips or Tanbark)

 

Blue and Yellow Zones

In February of 2015, due to a growing population, the City of Lincoln was divided into two zones (designated blue and yellow) for green waste collection. The green waste cans in these zones are served on alternating weeks.
