Message from the Chief

ChiefLee8X10SmallFileOn behalf of the men and women of the Lincoln Police Department, I thank you for visiting our website.

I am honored to serve as the Chief of Police in this great city, and I am very proud of the men and women who have chosen a career with the Lincoln Police Department. My staff and I work hard to earn and maintain a high level of support from the community, something we do not take for granted. We are committed to serving in a manner that ensures that this support continues.

We are also very appreciative of, and reliant upon, the partnerships we have developed with those who have chosen to live and work in Lincoln. Ensuring the safety of our community is a team effort. I am extremely grateful for our dedicated group of citizen volunteers, who do an amazing job of assisting us in our efforts. We are also very fortunate to have so many active Neighborhood Watch groups who help us in our efforts to maintain a safe community.

As you look through our website, if you have any suggestions that would help us better inform the community we serve, please let us know. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need in the most convenient manner possible.

In our ongoing effort to keep you informed, we post a weekly summary of the crimes that have been reported to us (found here). We also invite you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, the two platforms we use to share timely information.
