To minimize the spread of COVID-19, the City will be reducing service levels to essential services only. All City Hall offices are closed, except the main customer service counter (which is now open Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM), Development Services, and the Permit Counter which is also open 8AM-5PM. Looking for a venue for your special event? The City of Lincoln has a number of City-owned facilities available for hosting your special event, either indoors or outdoors. Our City facilities can accommodate up to 400 guests.

To rent a Facility, the following items must be on file with the City:

1. Facility Rental Application
2. Certificate of Insurance
3. Receipt of full Rental Payment and damage/cleaning deposit for facility
4. Contract for Security officers (if applicable)

The City is unable to confirm your reservation until each of the above-mentioned forms are on file with the City.
If your event requires street closures, special setup and/or planning strategies, your organization will be required to meet with the City’s Special Events and Incidents Committee. It is mandatory that a representative from your organization attend this committee meeting. For more information, please see our Special Events Page



How do I reserve a date? 
Dates are officially confirmed when all 4 items listed above are received. 

Is a deposit required? 
Yes, the damage/cleaning deposit is due at the time of reservation and is refundable if the facility is not damaged during your event and excessive cleaning is not needed.

Do I need a liquor license? 
Only if you are selling alcohol.

Do I have to be a Lincoln resident to reserve a facility? 
No, but there is a non-resident fee.

Do I need to rent tables and chairs? 
Tables and chairs are included with rental of the McBean Pavilion and McBean Pavilion BBQ. The BBQ area has 8' tables; the Pavilion has 12' tables and 72'' round tables. The Civic Center currently only has chairs and no tables.
