All City Hall offices are closed, except Development Services  and the Permit Counter (temporarily on the first floor) which is open Monday-Friday from 9AM-3PM. NOVEMBER 3, 2020 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION

The City of Lincoln will have four seats to fill at the November 3, 2020 General Municipal Election, as three Councilmembers’ and the City Treasurer’s terms will be expiring, see terms expiring below. Candidate filing period begins on July 13, 2020. Nomination papers must be filed by 5:00PM on the last day of candidate filing, August 7, 2020.  If an incumbent fails to file then the candidate filing period for that office extends, for individuals other than the incumbent, until 5:00PM on August 12, 2020.

 

Terms Expiring:

Councilmember Peter Gilbert, District 4

Councilmember Paul Joiner, District 3 (Closed - Incumbent Filed)

Councilmember Dan Karleskint, District 5 (Closed - Incumbent Filed)

City Treasurer Gerald Harner, At-Large

 

Candidates for the councilmember seats must be a resident and a registered voter in the City of Lincoln as well as reside in District 3, 4 or 5.  The district map can also be accessed via this link: https://arcg.is/1aHybH0 to determine which district a candidate resides in.  Note, candidates for the City Treasurer may reside in any district in the City of Lincoln.

 

Due to staffing levels in the City Clerk’s office, we are asking prospective candidates to make an appointment with the City Clerk’s office for submitting and filing of election-related documents.  Please contact Dia Gix, Deputy City Clerk, at 916-434-2494 or via email at city.clerk@lincolnca.gov.  City Hall is located at 600 Sixth Street, Lincoln, CA – business hours have been impacted by the COVID19 virus so please call prior to confirm the office is open.
