UNCLAIMED PROPERTY - STALE CHECKS NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Government Code Sections 50050 and 50051 that the following money, which is not the property of the City of Lincoln, has remained in the City treasury for more than three (3) years and will become City property if not claimed by September 18, 2017.

The owner/depositor, their heir, beneficiary or duly appointed representative may file a claim requesting release of money with the City of Lincoln’s Treasurer, which must include the claimant’s name, address, telephone number, Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number, amount of claim, and the grounds on which the claim is founded before September 18, 2017.  If the claim is denied by the City, the claimant may file a verified complaint seeking to recover all, or a designated part, of the money in a court of competent jurisdiction within Placer County, and must serve a copy of the complaint and the summons issues thereon upon the Treasurer within thirty (30) days of receiving notice that the claim was denied.
